This beautiful timepiece has a lot of sign to remind us Mandela, like the signature of Mandela, on the back of the watch a hand on Africa with the sentence: “It’s in our hands” or the Mandela family sigil, a bee with its wings outstretched into tree branches, representing Mandela’s family tree.

This watch’s price is $30,900, but part of it will be donated to the House of Mandela. This is an organization dedicated to continuing Mandela’s human rights initiatives as well as supporting the education of South African children, through it might set some eyebrows furrowing from the disparity between flashy extravagance and a noble cause.

The CEO of Hublot said about this watch and what it represents: “It is an honor for us to have been able to create this piece as a tribute to such an important figure as Nelson Mandela who has made a lasting mark on the history of humanity. The Classic Fusion House of Mandela is a way for us to ensure the philosophy and actions of this great man continue to live on”.
