Nowadays, technology upgrades have seriously redefined the meaning of timepieces and they’re not time prompters anymore, they’re a piece of artwork on any exclusive wrist.
Futuristic watches with a contemporary design draw inspiration from science fiction as well as other areas. Take a look at these stunning and remarkable timepieces with futuristic elements.
HYT H20 “Time is Fluid”
The new H20’s red fluid contrasts with the very traditional use of yellow gold elements decorated with traditional guilloche throughout the watch. This modern watch “Time is Fluid” by HYT builds a bridge between seeming contradictions. Besides this, it is a creative tension between craftsmanship and technology fuels the combination of a patented micro-fluidic module and a specially developed mechanical movement. This smartwatch accepts, visualizes and celebrates the flow of time. H20 “Time is Fluid” exists in two versions, both are limited edition.
MB&F Horological Machine N°6 Final Edition
MB&F’s Horological Machine 6 Final Edition is no less futuristic looking with its spaceship-like curves and bulbous display domes. Indeed, this unique watch is powered by a purely mechanical movement that follows the same contours. Horological Machine N°6 Final Edition comes in steel and is a limited edition of 8 pieces. HM 6 Final Edition is presented in stainless steel, a fittingly robust and durable material to memorialize the last outing of this series. The body of this MB&F watch is deeply grooved with polished lines that stretch from the turbine pods to the hour and minute spheres, contrasting sharply with the satin-drawn main surfaces.
The temperature of a star determines its color, with the hottest stars appearing bright blue due to their higher radiation frequency. Furthermore, the hour and minute spheres are also in this arresting hue, with numerals and markings standing out in thickly applied Super-LumiNova that luminesces light blue.
Ressence Type 2 e-Crown Concept
Ressence has introduced its Type 2, a hybrid mechanical and electronic watch that uses its proprietary e-Crown, a new 21st-century version of the manual crown used for winding and setting, to automatically set and adjust the watch’s hands to the right time. Powered by photovoltaic cells, the e-Crown is controlled by tapping the watch. However, this smartwatch can also be set manually or with an app.
This Ressence watch is a visual and mechanical update of the existing concept created by the high-end brand with the Type 1. It is still totally Ressence in all the way around, in terms of look and feel but also in terms of display and mechanics. The addition of the e-Crown is fully transparent and doesn’t interfere with Ressence’s signature design. In terms of design, the Ressence Type 2 e-Crown Concept modernizes slightly the original concept with an extremely pure design.
