House Of BL Paris

This is Peter Marino’s first hotel project and the architect was able to turn it into a symbol of elegance and timelessness. He designed it as a French home, planning the 16000 m2 building as a private residence. From the outside in, La Samaritaine’s Art Deco style set the tone, transforming linear patterns into a montage of motifs – from the hexagon and the medallion to softer floral designs and jewel-like compositions that are brought to life in a layered, but pared back material palette that spells indescribable beauty.

The fascinating views of the Seine are one of the main attractions and combined with luxury and beautiful interiors, guests are taken into an unforgettable experience. Also, the luxury hotel offers privacy to its exclusive guests, one of their main demands. They can spend the afternoon at the private garden on the 7th floor, or in a true aristocratic style, over L’Appartement, the hotel’s most exclusive private apartment. At 1,000 m2, the mega-suite taking across the 8th and 9th floors comes with its own swimming pool, a projection room, seven bedrooms, and exclusive access with a secure car park and a private entrance.

From Sonia Delaunay’s lithographs, a large blue canvas by the painter Georges Mathieu and specially commissioned metalwork by artist Claude Lalanne, to marble and plaster lamps by Philippe Anthonioz and a cast-iron bar by Ingrid Donat, the luxury hotel pays a tribute to creative excellence, with the spirit of a seasoned collector, just like Peter Marino himself, passionate about collectible design.
