Clever technical innovation. Luxury Design. Elegant and Pure Details. The new Ferrari Roma symbolizes the pinnacle of high and perfect performance thanks to its turbocharged V8 from the family of engines that have won the overall International Engine of the Year award four years running. Developed and launched by a high-end brand like Ferrari, this supercar is the personification of a “Dolce Vita” and of a luxury lifestyle.
Meant to evoke “La Nuova Dolce Vita,” the modern car pays tribute to the untroubled and pleasant way of life that categorized the Italian capital during the ‘50s and ‘60s. According to Ferrari’s Design Director Flavio Manzoni: “We wanted this to be a pure, monolithic form. It was important to be able to draw the car with just one line.”
The exterior of the luxury car radiates modernity, is smooth and well-defined by clean lines. The grand front end, with its Aston Martin–like pinched shark nose, adaptive full-LED headlights, and the new grille concept make it the most contemporary-looking Ferrari supercar ever seen. Besides this, the new Ferrari Roma benefits of the modular technology developed by the high-end brand for its new generation models.
The unique car’s interior echoes an evolution of the dual-cockpit that first appeared on the GTC4 Lusso, creating a feeling of the individual driver and passenger cells. In this Ferrari’s expensive car, you can find a 16-inch digital cluster that provides all necessary information, and the 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen—as well as a passenger screen—were industrialized to be spontaneous. According to the high-end brand Ferrari, in the creation of this modern car a great effort was built to reduce weight wherever possible, and it’s resulted in a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio. The Ferrari Roma features sophisticated proportions and a unique timeless design mixed with supreme performance and handling.
In this modern car’s version, the engine reaches 620 cvs at 7500 rpm and is coupled with the new 8-speed DCT gearbox that was introduced on the SF90 Stradale. Both bodyshell and chassis have been redesigned to incorporate the latest weight decrease and progressive production technologies. Furthermore, the mid-front-engine 2+ Ferrari Roma has the best weight/power ratio in its segment – 2.37 kg/cv – which increases handling dynamics and receptiveness.
