Designed with a flexible interior with rotating seats, the new IM Motors electric car is not just a driving machine, it can also be reconfigured as a multi-functional room. A four-leaf table can be unfolded, when the seats are facing each other, to create a space where people can have dinner, play games, or watch movies. This car is much more than just a car, it can be also a leisure area!

The first car designed by Heatherwick Studio for IM Motors can be also transformed into a bedroom, due to the ability of the seats to recline to their fullest, creating a double bed.

When activated in this mode, the glass roof of the IM Motors turns opaque in order to create a private area, due to the latest technology.

Planned to go into production in the year 2023, the electric car was designed for IM Motors – a Chinese brand created by SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Group.

Although the studio had previously designed a bus for London and a boat with the purpose to transport tourists and locals along the Loire river between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire, this masterpiece will be the first-ever car designed by Heatherwick Studio.
