Italian coachbuilder ARES is set to create their first-ever Barchetta, the S1 project spyder. Limited to just 24 editions, the car is revealed a clean top version of their S1 project sports car by removing both its roof and windscreen.

“We wanted to create a model that is a true tribute to the pleasure of sport driving. This new Barchetta version adds more charm to the S1 project design as it takes additional inspiration from the world of motorsport and the racing cars of the past.“
Dany Bahar, ARES co-founder

With a sinuously sculpted exterior, the ARES S1 project spyder distinguishes with the absence of both a windscreen and roof. Two wind deflectors have been seamlessly designed into the elegant, streamlined carbon fibre bodywork. The result redirects the air current over the passengers into the air intakes behind the headrest to create a virtual canopy.

Inside, the car offers a bespoke handcrafted interior. Napa leather and Alcantara interior details adorn the cocooning, elegantly lined architecture of the cabin. An HMI is then located between the central console and dashboard to reveal its technological prowess.

Beneath its silver body, the Barchetta houses a naturally aspirated V8 engine together with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. This produces a maximum power of 715hp (522kw) that enables it to accelerate from 0-62mph (100km/h) in 2.7seconds.
