Known as the Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director, Virgil Abloh has whipped up a custom luxury jet for Drake in his latest design adventure. Taking inspiration from Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album cover, the project is about a cloud-printed jet that takes strong references from it. The aircraft has drawn a lot of attention recently, as it turns out that it’s been upgraded with a custom paint job by Virgil Abloh. Luxury Safes brings to you this luxury jet customization created by one of the greatest intense minds of an artist for the amazing and recognized musician, Drake.
This stunning modern design project allows Virgil Abloh to flex his civil engineering degree, which the designer completed in 2002 as an undergraduate student. The designer shared three pictures of the luxury jet, giving sneak peeks at the “AIR DRAKE”- stamped engine and signature “ABLOH” branding on the cabin. One of the wings of this modern jet comprises an image of a joyful mask, though it remains to be seen if the other wing has been given the sad version.
This luxury jet presents distinguished and eminent music references aside, the aircraft’s sky blue and white aesthetic is still an eerily close match to the actual sky. Fitting perfectly with Drake’s luxury lifestyle, the modern jet looks marvelous and striking above the clouds.
The exterior of this luxury jet features a large owl decal, the logo of Drake’s company OVO (October’s Very Own), and inside there’s a large lounge full of purple velvet three seater couches, cream and violet leather armchairs, wood finishings and tray ceilings.
Virgil Abloh is full of surprises and Drake‘s custom luxury jet is the ultimate proof. The designer turns this masterpiece into a realistic thing, clearly defying his limitations, and excelling in a multi-disciplinary manner.
