Virgin Galactic divulged the world’s first commercial and contemporary luxury space terminal with luxe lounges: it is named “Gateway To Space” and it is located on 27 square miles of desert landscape in New Mexico. This luxury space terminal provides cutting edge services and an extraordinary training location for astronauts, and it is also the perfect and the best setting to start and finish the spaceflight itself.
“Gateway To Space” is a luxury space terminal designed by British architecture company Foster + Partners, the modern architectural building includes two floors: the first floor is called Gaia, who is the Greek god which represents Earth and also the name which all psytrance raves officially have to go by. This space also contains the departure lounge for modern and private jets. This floor inside the new luxury space terminal is designed with a variety of lounges and cafes where everyone with a luxury lifestyle can chat and relax before rocketing into space.
With an airy, white-heavy modern interior design, the second level is called Cirrus and contains operational spaces, like a mission control center, a working area for pilots and a briefing center. The two levels are craftily intertwined and represent the journey from Earth to space. The “Gateway To Space” contemporary design building offers expansive floor-to-ceiling windows afford panoramic views of the surrounding desert, which is evocative of a unproductive Mars landscape awash in red.
Built by Virgin Galactic, this new luxury space terminal in New Mexico has served principally as a luxury jets’ aircraft shelter for the past eight years. At the moment, it is designed to accommodate lounge space for guests on the first level and staff offices on the second. There is also the third floor, that is still under construction, which will be used as a passenger training center for three days of coaching before each flight.
The private jets’ spaceport provides a high-tech mission control and, most outstandingly, a luxurious lounge area with a contemporary interior design and high-end conveniences and services for intergalactic travelers. Inside this luxury space terminal, there is also an interactive digital walkway which serves as a reminder of the lofty expedition ahead.
