During the early decades of commercial flight, there was alwayas a certain luxury associated with flying, meaning this experience was only available to the world’s elite. Following this line of thought Etihad Airways launched the airbus A380 or “The Residence”, a three-room suite with the most luxurious space available on a commercial carrier.
The airbus carries up to 469 passengers with the exact total dependent on whether the penthouse suite who is occupied by one or two passengers. The A380 also has nine first class apartments, each with a leather lounge chair and an ottoman that opens to become a bed.
“The residence” suite measures 125 square feet in area and includes a private living room with a leather lounge chair, a shower, a bedroom with a double bed and a dedicated Savoy Academy trained butler to look after the needs of the guests.
